KeymasterHi gorgeous ladies! I’d love to get to know you a bit better and hear your stories. Feel free to write as little or as much about yourself and your story as you feel comfortable. This is a safe space so please – positive and encouraging words only.
I’ll start us off! My name is Morgan and I’ve been dealing with PCOS for a little over 10 years now. I was lucky to get diagnosed young, but have dealt with weight gain, hirsutism, acne, and all the other fun stuff that goes along with PCOS for years. For me, the weight gain has been the toughest thing to deal with. Many doctors told me to exercise more, eat less or eat healthier, and just be better. UM EXCUSE ME, I was doing all of that but seeing absolutely no results. It was SO frustrating for me and I felt so alone dealing with these things. I didn’t know how many other women were dealing with the exact same thing., Having a support system in the form of a cysterhood became crucial for me, and was also a big reason why I decided to start PCOS Project. I didn’t want any other women to have to go through the research and frustration that I went through if it could be helped.
I’ll admit it – I’m a bit of a nerd. I deal with things through trying to understand them as much as possible. That’s what I wanted to do with this condition. BUT little did I know that was not as easy as I thought it was going to be. PCOS is not a simple condition – I think we all know that just from the crazy different amount of symptoms we all experience. Is anyone else this way? Does anyone else feel better if they have a grasp on what it all means, doing research, etc? I’d be glad to know others can relate to this and it’s not just me! Comment below if that’s you!!
